Union Jack Pub
Union Jack Pub is an institution in Broad Ripple, a neighborhood on the north side of Indianapolis. It was one of the first non-chain restaurants that I visited in Indianapolis after moving to the city in 2007. For that reason, it was a great honor to help them rebrand when they changed owners in 2014. I wanted to explore the history of the pub, its unique features, and refocus the brand on what's made it so important to the patrons that have been going for years. The logo's shield shape is the same as the previous logo, but inside is a Union Jack/Indianapolis civic flag hybrid. At the bottom, the pizza peel is in honor of the original restaurant menus which were printed on pizza peels. The small details around the shield and pizza peel come from interior features throughout the restaurant.
