Oak Park SC
Oak Park SC is the definition of a “roller coaster” team. They’ve played as high as America One and as low as finishing last in America 3 only to be saved because of who was promoted the league above them. After that season, they did make the best of it by winning America 3 East and being promoted to America Two, but were demoted immediately after. The team was founded in 1912, was part of the Great Lakes Soccer League, and joined America League in the 1930 merger. Even though Frank Lloyd Wright left Oak Park the year before the team was founded, the team’s logo was redesigned to reflect some of his stained-glass designs after his death in 1956. Their uniforms all carry the stained-glass motif on a two tone green primary kit. They are rivals with all the Chicago teams, but specifically their fellow suburban team: Naperville SC.
